Here in the UK big cities have a "Park and Ride" system where you park your car at a car park on the edge of a town and then catch a bus from there which will take you into the town center. I think something like this would be great for Cities Skylines and would give a bit more purpose to a parking lot mechanic.

After placing a ton of underground parking and the giant parking tower traffic seems to have calmed down and just about everybody is parked but I needed a good 4000 spaces for downtown area alone.
