I prefer Family Echo, The Plum Tree is easy to start with (but so is Family Echo) and has some weird design choices. If you want to record a spouses family, you have to create a seperate tree for them and link the two, and linking is not straightforward.Totally, Family Echo definitely isn't prettier than Plum Tree but I appreciate that it allows for a lot more connections in a family tree, especially putting the parents of my Sims' partners.
